Read chapters 5 & 6 in Guerrilla Girls - Come prepared to share questions and ideas for each chapter. You will be graded on your preparedness.

Work 3 hours of the art open house for Art Activity credit. No paper required.

Tuesday - February 25
Today we will discuss the first four chapters in Guerrilla Girls. If you are absent, be prepared to turn in a summary of the main points of each chapter.

Thursday, February 20

Hello All,

We will not have any readings to discuss during class. We will use class time to do a walk through critique of your altered artworks. If they are finished that is great, but if they are not I still want you to show what you have. This is an opportunity for everyone to show their work, and to receive feedback on it.

We will also continue working on our spirit rattles/penny banks/etc.

For next Tuesday you need to read the introduction and Chapters 1-4 of The Guerilla Girl's Bedside Companion to the History of Western Art. We will discuss the readings during class, and during any time that is left you can work on studio projects.

Possible Art Activity

The Legacy Event Center is holding an opening tonight (Thursday, Feb 13th) for a painting exhibition by the Watercolor Society of Lubbock.

OBJECTIVES:
Next week we will be learning about a new medium - Clay. Starting on Tuesday we will construct clay rattles. This is a hand building method and you will get your hands dirty. But it's FUN!!
